IDSA Members to Participate Guest Symposium at Molecular Pathology Annual Meeting
IDSA members continue to promote the value of ID while educating and collaborating with other medical specialty societies. IDSA President-Elect Thomas File, Jr., MD, FIDSA, along with Maricar Malinis, MD, FIDSA and Debra Goff, PharmD, FIDSA will host a guest symposium at the Association for Molecular Pathology annual meeting in Baltimore, MD. The symposium will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m., with topics to include Reaction to and Understanding of Multiplex Molecular Testing, Value of Molecular Testing from the Perspective of an ID Physician: When its Useful and When it Isn’t and The Impact of Rapid Diagnostic Tests with Antimicrobial Stewardship on Patient Care.
