Webinar on HIV Criminalization Advocacy for Providers

HIVMA and Lambda Legal hosted an educational webinar earlier this month on “Getting Involved in Criminalization Reform & Advocacy for Providers: What You Need to Know.” Participants learned about HIV criminal law and reform efforts at the state levels and tangible ways providers can get involved from Scott Schoettes, Lambda Legal’s HIV Project Director. Participants also heard from HIVMA Chair David Hardy, MD and members Barb Gripshover, MD, FIDSA and Edwin DeJesus, MD, FIDSA about their experiences serving as experts in criminal and civil cases.
