Applications Open for 9th Annual ID Research Careers Meeting
Applications are now being accepted for IDSA's and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ ninth annual ID Research Careers Meeting, an exciting program designed to help foster the next generation of infectious diseases physician-scientists. The two-and-a-half-day meeting for ID fellows, residents and medical students will take place June 25 – 27 in Bethesda, Md. Lodging and travel costs will be provided for meeting participants. Please encourage research-oriented fellows, residents and medical students at your institution to apply. All interested may apply but space is limited.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from leading ID physician-scientists about frontiers in medical research, including from keynote speaker NIAID Director Anthony Fauci, MD, FIDSA. There will be presentations and discussion on the practical aspects of developing a successful career in research. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their own research in a poster session and visit the campus of the National Institutes of Health. In addition, our faculty will be available for both formal and informal interaction over the course of the meeting.
All applications are due Thursday, April 2. The application to attend will require a statement of interest from the applicant and a short statement of recommendation from their research mentor, advisor or faculty member familiar with their interest in research.
