IDSA and ID in the News
IDSA has been a long-standing advocate of antimicrobial stewardship. A recent survey of ID fellowship training program directors revealed that “approximately half of all ID training programs identified a lack of antimicrobial stewardship curricular materials as a significant barrier to teaching fellows about antimicrobial stewardship.” Infectious Disease News discusses IDSA’s development of an antimicrobial stewardship program, “an important tool to combat antimicrobial resistance.”
