Opportunity to Inform HIVMA’s Response to the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative
HIVMA is recruiting for a new working group to strengthen our response to the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America initiative. Ending the HIV Epidemic is an ambitious federal initiative aimed at reducing new HIV incidence by 90% by 2030.
Members of the working group will share their expertise to inform HIVMA’s policy positions and advocacy related to Ending the HIV Epidemic’s goals and strategies. Participation in the working group will include:
- Conducting outreach to local HIV/ID clinicians and researchers to share resources, action alerts and encourage them to get involved locally;
- Informing HIVMA of critical opportunities and challenges related to the initiative at the local level;
- Offering recommendations for how HIVMA can support members in engaging at the local level;
The working group will seek to represent the diversity of HIV clinicians and researchers practicing on the frontlines of the HIV epidemic in the U.S. and the populations they serve.
