IDWeek Mentorship Program Seeking Participants
John G. Bartlett, MD, FIDSA with former mentees.
The IDSA Foundation is welcoming rising leaders to participate in this year’s IDWeek Mentorship Program. The deadline to apply has been extended to Aug. 7 for mentors and mentees!
Through this transformative program, medical students and residents interested in the field are provided unprecedented access to ID and HIV leaders. Participation in the program gives aspiring leaders the opportunity to be paired with an ID mentor during IDWeek.
As the field of ID is faced with fewer early career physicians choosing the specialty and the struggle for more federal funding for research, those that enter the field are critical to helping to safeguard public health. Supporting the medical students, clinicians and public health experts who will take the helm of infectious diseases will literally have worldwide consequences.
We urge rising students and residents to apply for this career-changing opportunity. We also welcome ID leaders to become mentors to the future of ID. Learn more about the IDWeek Mentorship Program and apply today!
