His Health Educational Resources: IDSA/HIVMA Accredited Courses
His Health is a free, accredited and self-paced online learning platform administered by the Center for Engaging Black Men Who Have Sex with Men Across the Care Continuum (CEBACC) at the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD). This one-of-a-kind training arsenal offers Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, models of care, and webinars focused on Black men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender health. The modules provide the support you need to engage and retain them in quality health care with a focus on:
- STD/STI screenings and vaccinations
- Mental health
- PrEP access and uptake
- Linkage to care
- Transgender health
- Whole Health Assessment 2.0 (new this year)
- PrEP 2.0 (new this year)
The series is accredited by IDSA to offer medical professionals 1 CME credit and 1 ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit for each module completed.
Courses offer ID physicians and other health professionals applicable tools and strategies to integrate both in and out of the clinical space to accelerate health services delivery to young, Black MSM patients. They are designed to help close the knowledge gap that exists in the healthcare community about the unique health needs of this key population, and are led by HIV specialists in the medical field. The trainings will expand your knowledge on various topics including PrEP, behavioral and mental health, medical mistrust, linkage and engagement of HIV positive Black MSM patients and culturally competent sexual health service delivery for this population.
The two new modules are a continuation of the first iteration of the PrEP and Whole Health Assessment courses with the goal of providing participants with an intersectional understanding of the social determinants of health that impact the overall physical, emotional and mental well-being of young Black MSM.
