NAM to Hold Public Meeting on Integration of ID and Opioid Use Disorder Services
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAM) is hosting a public meeting on the integration of services for opioid use disorder and infectious disease on June 27 from 1 pm to 5 pm ET and June 28 from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm ET. The meeting will be open to the public to attend in person or virtually.
The meeting is part of a study to identify programs and best practices for integrating prevention and opioid use disorder and infectious diseases prevention, care and treatment services. The study is being conducted by an hoc committee chaired by past HIVMA Chair Carlos del Rio, MD, FIDSA that was convened by NAM at the request of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy.
