Exciting Speakers
Great programming awaits you at IDWeek 2019, Oct. 2-6 in Washington, DC. Speakers include Francis Collins, MD, PhD, Director of the National Institutes of Health, and Anthony Fauci, MD, FIDSA, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. See the Program Primer for more information on sessions and plenary speakers.
Schedule Improvements
Based on attendee feedback, IDWeek 2019 will start each day at 8 a.m. rather than 7 a.m. Use the extra hour to catch up on sleep, prepare for your day, or ease into the day with gentle yoga at the Relaxation Station.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday will also feature unopposed sessions at 9:15 a.m. that will cover topics of interest to the whole ID community. These Special Sessions will allow everyone to come together and start the day off with exciting science.
Thrilling Competitions
Both IDEA Incubator and IDBugBowl will return this year! Innovators will present their designs to improve ID care in front of a panel of experts at IDEA Incubator on Thursday at 6 p.m. Interested attendees can apply online for a chance to participate. Watch medical students, residents and fellows duke it out at the 4thannual IDBugBowl trivia showdown on Saturday at 5:15 p.m.
Member registration is now open and general registration opens April 2. Early bird registration rates last until June 28. Register and book your hotel today to take advantage of the best rates.
